This study was designed to investigate the amino acids composition of lactating mothers’ milk and their confinement diet in a town in Northern China, as well as to assess the relation of amino acids content in human milk and diet. We report the clinical, radiological, and molecular findings in a boy presenting with progressive generalized dystonia in whom we have identified a mutation (m.14459G>A) in the mitochondrial NADH dehydrogenase subunit 6 (ND6) gene. The patient is a 7-year-old boy with no family history of optic neuropathy or dystonia.
